Let not despair follow you into this new century. "Oh," you say. "Is there something that can be done about despair, Emmanuel? Is not despair the sensible and sensitive reaction to a world in chaos?" And my answer must be both yes and no. At the level of human, ordinary consciousness it is a remarkable feat to allow yourselves to see and hear the cries of your world and its suffering populace. But at the deeper and more truthful level there is in every one of you a knowing that has yet to be fully honored. And that knowing sees the pain in illusion, suffers the suffering, and never loses its contact with the greater truth that is vast enough to embrace it all and hold it in the Heart of Love. You are not the limitation you have been taught to believe. You are the vast, unending, loving compassion that is the creator of all things. Your hearts already hold this truth. I have simply come to remind you. |
